Surprising student stories from Full Circle Day 1

The latest generation of our Full Circle program launched this week, and we're already getting some fantastic student stories! Below is an excerpt from a student who completed the last Full Circle and decided to follow it up with another round (something that happen more often than you'd think). Take a look and then click through to see if Full Circle is right for you. There's still time to join our Full Circle spring cycle!   When I signed up for my first Full Circle, I wrote a wish list of feelings and accomplishments. There were little things (I’m thinking about shopping for some new jeans), silly things (I want my poops to be amazing!), and of course the biggies (I want to feel beautiful). There were also...

Three things you NEED to set a good foundation for summer

The sun is out, and our guns (biceps) and buns (glutes) aren't far behind! But are you set to have the best summer of your life? Do you have a plan to make this THE summer you achieve your goals? If not, you definitely should. We've put together a list of 3 things you'll need to make this season one for the record books -- a summer where you feel good about how you look, how you feel, and who you are. Step 1: You need a routine The biggest reason we see people fall off the fitness wagon is lack of a routine. When fitness time isn't sacred time, it's easy to say "...

Spring into summer with Full Circle Yoga

The warm weather has finally arrived! (Today's temperatures notwithstanding.) Hot on the heels of our last program that wrapped up in March, we're getting ready to launch the next generation of Full Circle, our lifestyle program that teaches you how to become the best version of yourself -- permanently.   Things can get pretty crazy in New York during the summer, and we all could use a little help keeping our cool. After completing Full Circle, our students not only lose up to 30lbs of body fat, but they also learn the deep breathing and meditation skills that help them cope with stressful situations and keep them centered when things get a little...

The most magnificent yoga studio in the world

This past weekend, YogaCare was invited to share Full Circle Yoga with residents and visitors of Lower Manhattan at The Oculus in the Westfield World Trade Center. The experience was amazing! More than 100 people practiced yoga with us and saw firsthand how our exclusive discipline of mind, body, and soul can have a transformative effect.    Completed in 2016, The Oculus serves as the transportation hub for New York's World Trade Center. At approximately 800,000 square feet and designed by internationally acclaimed architect Santiago Calatrava, the Oculus is the third largest transportation center in New York City -- and this weekend, it was the largest, most magnificent yoga studio in the world! Click here for more information on how Full Circle Yoga can help you live a better life and unleash the...

Full Circle is nearly done! So much accomplished — so much to come

This is the third generation of Full Circle. 30 students are nearing the end of their journey into re-development of body, mind, and soul.     They've diligently come to class every day and followed their ever-evolving nutrition guidelines (customized for each individual, of course). Combined, they've dropped a whopping 291 lbs and donated several bins of now-too-big clothing to charity. They have also grown stronger through Pulse and boxing classes that have challenged their mental and physical stamina.     Now they're in the final stretch. Their bodies are primed, and their minds are open. These final two weeks of breathing, meditation, and fitness will put them over the top and prepare them for a year of mindful living in a city that can at times feel insane. In the words of...

Full Circle Gen 3 Students Speak Up

The first half of our latest iteration of Full Circle is in the books, and our students aren't keeping their opinions to themselves. This generation of 30 students has participants who are brand new to Bikram yoga, as well as a few who are familiar with the program. (One or two were original participants in our Pilot program last spring!) We caught up with a few of them before this generation of Full Circle started (Day Zero), and we'll be with them along the way to see their progress as the program continues. Student Stories: Rebuilding Eloise

This is an excerpt from a Full Circle student in a story series we call "Rebuilding." I recently read a quote by Michelangelo: "I am still learning." That's what Full Circle means to me. I've found that I am making better use of time. I am making fewer mistakes and more sensible decisions in my daily life. I have more patience. And when I feel myself going over the edge, I can bring myself back to sanity and laugh. I also notice that I feel so much calmer and would just rather listen and observe the people and the world around me. It's like I can actually hear better -- or maybe I'm just paying better attention. Whatever is going, on I am loving the shift in my life. Student Stories: Rebuilding Mia

This is an excerpt from a Full Circle student in a story series we call "Rebuilding." I am a 61-year-old divorced mother who works full-time in a demanding non-profit environment. I have three kids, two of whom have autism and one of whom has emotional challenges as a result of living in an orphanage early in her life. When I first considered the possibility of joining the Full Circle group, I came up with every possible reason to believe and argue that it was simply "impossible". I was about to lose my job and "have no money” I had two special needs young adults at home who "needed" me every -- or at least most -- evenings I couldn't possibly join the morning group and wake up...
